Dating/seduction skills and Techniques:

If you want to be a real pick-up artist chances are you will need some real techniques that have been mapped out by the pros. Pick-up artists in the community have developed their own vocabulary of terms and techniques. To get started you should be familiar with a few of them.

First, you should know about the hook point.  This is the moment when a woman (or group) decides that they want to continue the interaction with the pickup artist. There are many techniques that lead up to the hook point. It’s an important step in the seduction process.

Pick-up artists employ their techniques in order to develop attraction and rapport with the woman they are after.  Some seduction methods use canned, pre-scripted conversations while others insist on natural spontaneous conversation. This is an area of debate in the community.

Another technique is the use of negative comments called negs. These are nasty remarks, such as backhanded compliments. They are designed to actively demonstrate disinterest and to falsely disqualify the pickup artist as a potential suitor. Negs are generally recommended for attractive and very attractive women. They also have numerous other purposes which can be studied at length.  Often they are used to slightly lower a girls self-esteem so she will be more vulnerable to pickup.  They can be used to help lower what is known as the bitch shield.
           

The bitch shield is exactly what it sounds like. It’s her protection against unwanted seducers. Using negs to penetrate the bitch shield can be tricky. It’s not a technique for the novice.
           

Another term often used is kino.  It comes from the word kinesthesia and it refers to all techniques that have to do with touch. The most important kino technique is probably the claw.
           

Reaching out for that fist touch is an important ice breaking moment. It  must seem casual but it is not. That’s why its called the claw . It’s that friendly hand on the shoulder or arm that allows the rest of the events to un-fold. Without the claw it’s unlikely that anything else can happen.
           

Humor and banter. Making her laugh seems obvious enough but there is allot of specific information out there about just how to do it well. It’s important to do it in a way that will leave her with the right feelings. For instance, you must be careful not to poke fun at yourself to much. Do that too much and she may loose respect for you. It’s good to tease her a bit. It’s especially good to make fun of your male competition.
           

That brings us to another important concept. The AMOG, or Alpha Male Other Guy. He is the most dominant male in the group. How does a pick-up artists deal with the AMOG? He uses negs. It is the job of the seducer to become the alpha male himself. The neg used can be as simple as not acknowledging the AMOG. Negs are used as AMOG destroyers. By the way you must use the claw and get your kino going before he does. Got it?
           

So what do you say to her once you have passed the hook point, you’ve used the claw, she’s laughing at your jokes and you are the alpha male of the moment? Here is where there is some controversy in the pick-up artist community. 
           

Some recommend pre-scripted conversation.  Kind of like stand up comic routines.  This approach comes from the science of neuro-linguistic programing or NLP. I don’t recommend such techniques. True, they may be effective some of the time. That is if you are in a hurry and if she’s drunk. In general, few guys can remain smooth and natural if they are trying to stick to a script. Usually she will sense it. Also, if it makes you feel uptight she will sense that as well.  Better to be yourself.
           

I recommend the opposite technique which is known as eliciting values. Ask her what she thinks about this and that. Find out about her. Let her find out about you. This will build some real report. You will relax too because you don’t have to put on a show.  The best part is that you might actually dig each other so you are leaving the door open for possible longer term relationship.
           

Eliciting values does use specific sequences of questions to find out a woman's internal roadmap. It is not completely spontaneous. There is still a plan underneath. You are still trying to lead her to a certain emotional state. This is by far the more engaging path to take and I think it’s the most rewarding.
